We believe digital technology shouldnt be centered around effeciency

We think it can actualise real change in the lives of people around us. A change that can make the digital world more equitable in underserved communities and create bridges for social mobility and growth, especially at home.

And yeah, we want to make that real.

But how does design do that? Can a prototype improve lives? Can research spark real reform? Can collaboration undermine systems of inequality?


We think so. We believe that with enough research and collaboration with key actors, we can transform the advancement of technology in Africa into force for inclusion and empowerment in our communities.



Our approach isn’t one-size-fits-all.


Sometimes it’s publishing and shaping research-driven design projects. Sometimes it’s design advocacy. Sometimes it’s working with other socially focused initiatives. But always, it’s about using design, research and action as a lever for change.
